"Hello, my name is Mehrdad Cohan. I was not born in Sarechal, but my father and mother were. The name of their street was Abol-Ghasem-Shirazi.  My father was known as Yaheeyah Shah Abdol Azimi. He was in the liquor business (also known as Aragh).   Also, the past generations of my family were from Sarechal (Mahaleh, Tehran). My late father always said he was proud and honored to be from Sarechal (Tehran). The Tehrani families are generous, hospitable gentlemen and "LOOTIE." Most of the major Iranian Jewish immigrants from Esfahan and Kashan came to Tehran in the 1940's and later for jobs and education. They should appreciate the Tehrani families, who, at the time, were already living in Sarechal, and who gave them opportunity, hospitality, and guidance. As a result, they have became very successful in business. During the past 60 years, most of Tehrani families  have allowed their daughters to marry into Esfahani and Kashani families." 
I am now living in Roslyn, New York. I am interested to know more about Sarechal or Mahaleh.
